Karácsonyfadíszek Afrikából // Christmas decorations from Africa

There is still some left from the summer Rwanda-trip inspiration: these christmas decorations were made with the same african symbols we used for t-shirt printing in Rwanda. They convey the message of interdependence, understanding each other, wisdom of our ancestors, and of the omnipotence of God, to us, this Christmas.

 Egyesével festettem, Samu aranyozta őket.
I painted them one by one, Samu goldened them.

Gye nyame // “kivéve Istent” // "except God"
Sankofa // Visszatérni, visszatekinteni // To return, to look back
Osrane ne nsoromma // Hold és csillag // Moon and stars
Akoma ntoaso // Összekapcsolódott szívek // Linked hearts

A díszek megvásárolhatók, csakúgy, mint a Ruanda 2012-es falinaptár, pillanatképekkel az eddigi munkánkról, ruandai gyerekarcokkal, kezekkel, mosolyokkal.

Megvásárlásukkal az immár hivatalosan is bejegyzett Creative Planet Alapítvány Ruandában, utcagyerekekkel végzett munkáját segítitek.

A naptár (A4) ára 2000 Ft, a négy dísz (6x7cm, mikrohullámkarton) ára 1000 Ft.

The decorations can be bought, just as the 2012 Rwanda Calendar, made with photos of our work with street children this year. By buying them you support Creative Planet Foundation.
Merry Christmas to all my dear readers!

Glad to announce the birth of Creative Planet Foundation which works in Ruanda by means of creative development and global education. By clicking here you will be led to our Facebook page and can look at some photos about our work and Like it of course :) (Soon there will be English text too, I promise.) The symbols above are from a textil tradition used in Ghana, carrying beautiful meanings about their roots, values, beliefs.
